If my people who are called by my name
The Bible lost its influence in the nation, because the Bible lost its influence in the church. But as awesome a prophetic promise as it is for America, many believers forget that it is a conditional promise. Like never before, we must pray for our nation and her leaders.

How can anyone without a serious love for truth make a competent choice on Supreme Court Justices, Freedom, Life, Civil Unrest, Israel and War? We need all of us a passion for revival and we are poor Christians if we don't feel a concern for the future of the Church We must forget ourselves and our own desires for the sake of the Lord's Church. See only God can start a revival and God is quite clear about what He expects before He will return to His people. There are churches which would dread any revival preferring to keep things nice and quiet in a holy huddle. A Minister in South Wales prayed and started the Welsh Revival. And the Lord will continually guide you and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

Often we find in the pages of the Word of God and in the history of the world that God has been merciful to a nation because of a faithful blood-bought remnant. Perhaps if national repentance occurred, then God would spare a modern nation as He spared Nineveh at the preaching of Jonah see Jonah 3 —but that is a different issue. People like you who are here week by week. The solution to the nations problems lies not with politicians or human rights activists but with God's people. There are some tasks in the church which through age or infirmity we cannot do. We think every one in society accepts this conduct so how unfair of God to criticise this.

But in our time, the Word of God has been pushed aside within the Evangelical church. To humble ourselves is to recognize God for who he is. Keep speaking what the Word of God says on the issue at stake. After the king had completed the building of the temple and his palace, the Lord Yahweh appeared to Solomon during the night and gave this promise: “If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people. One way leads to darkness the other to revival. This is the same God who now offers us redemption and reconciliation in the New Covenant, through Jesus Christ.
